WHO ARE WE
We are L&A which stands for Liza and Alex. Our first ever common friend gave us this nickname, and well... it stuck.
We are a truly multicultural duo. Liza is Russian with a background in management, and Alex is a Swiss plastics engineer. We bring totally different mindsets to the table, which ends up being the perfect recipe for a great travel team.
We met in July 2012 in St. Petersburg, Russia and fell in love. In July 2015 we got married and have been living together in Switzerland ever since.
After 10 years of marriage, it was time to change something. We liked the idea of relocation, of trying something new, and seeing more of this beautiful world. We discussed several options, but eventually, we decided to take this massive RV trip in North America—a continent we both wanted to explore that has so much to offer. So, in June 2025, we quit our jobs in Switzerland, packed our suitcases and flew to the USA for the adventure of a lifetime.
We bought and registered our truck and trailer in the USA, and in 5 months we crossed North America from Miami FL to Vancouver BC. In the winter, it was time to take a pause from RV life, which presented us with an unexpected, spontaneous detour around the world (Canada — Dominican Republic — Switzerland — Russia — China — South Korea — Canada). Starting in March 2026, we are back on our RV travels in North America to share our tales and tactics.
Meet our travel companions: our sweet Minnie (a 2017 Winnebago travel trailer, 28 ft long), and our original 2011 Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson edition, Fercho (on the photo to the left). Unfortunately, the road can be unpredictable. When Fercho broke down during our travels, we had to make the tough call to replace him with Salem, our 2018 red Ram Laramie 1500 (on the photo to the right).
